For the fifth straight year and the 11th time since the 1999-2000 edition, the 2011 Carneta was inducted into Walsworth Company’s Gallery of Excellence, which is a collection of the company’s top yearbooks.
This means that the CHS 2011 Carneta will be going across the country to other schools and yearbook workshops to be used as source material and examples for salespeople.
Approximately 5 percent of the company’s books receive this yearly award.
“I think it’s fricken’ awesome!” said Executive Editor AnnMarie Gonzales, 12. The yearbook is worked on from the first day of class all through the year until its release at the end of the year.
“We put our sweat and blood into the book!” said Editor Dean Suntken, 11. The yearbook is, quite literally, a collection of stories and photos of the events that took place at CHS throughout the year. The book covers everything from sporting events to club activities.
